- Description
- Lafayette College medal for a track and field event awarded to Eulace Peacock in 1933. The silver toned medal is rectangular with beveled corners. There is a molded pin that at the top and bottom of the medal. The top of the pin is a bezel attached to a jump ring and the bottom ends in a thin point with thick molded bands framing the top and bottom of the medal. The surface of the medal is black enamel. In the center of the black enamel is a gold, metal relief depiction of an athlete in a runner’s starting position. He is crouched down facing the right edge of the medal with his proper left toes on the ground, his fingertips on the ground in front of him, and his proper right leg slightly behind him. On the reverse of the medal, engraved in the center, is text that reads [LAFAYETTE / COLLEGE / 1933].
