- Description
- Sim och Idrottsklubben Hellas (Sim and Sports Club Greece) medal awarded to Eulace Peacock in 1934. The medal is circular and silver colored. The obverse of the medal has a band of relief text running around the top edge that reads [SIM o. IDROTTSKLUBBEN · HELLAS]. At the center is a relief depiction of a young man wearing a loincloth, standing on the shore of a body of water. The man is depicted with his arms crossed over his chest and his proper right foot held slightly forward. Printed on the rock, by the man’s proper left foot, is relief text that reads [OTTING]. Running along the edges of the reverse of the medal, is a relief depiction of a laurel garland. Above the garland’s center knot is the relief maker’s mark for Sporrong, [S&Co]. Along the bottom edge of the medal is a stamped hallmark,[[heart shape with three crowns] S [inside a hexagon shape] / H8 [inside a rectangle shape]].
