- Description
- Stockholms-Tidningens Minnesplakett (Stockholm Times Memorial Plate) awarded to Eulace Peacock in 1934. The plate is rectangular and silver colored. The obverse of the plate has a large relief depiction of an eagle soaring above the Stockholm skyline. On the left is the Stockholm City Hall recognizable by the finial above the tower, the three (3) golden crowns of the Swedish national coat of arms. On the right is the Church of Saint Clare with its double sets of spires. There are clouds in the background and in the top left corner is faint outline of a bird. Printed below in relief is the text, [STOCKHOLMS-TIDNINGENS / MINNESPLAKETT]. The obverse of the medal engraved text that reads, [1:a PRIS / ELITSPELEN / 1934] (First prize / Elite Games / 1934). Along the bottom edge of the medal is a stamped maker’s mark for [Sporrong&Co] and a stamped hallmark, [[a person with a crown] [heart shape with three crowns] S [inside a hexagon shape] / F8 [inside a rectangle shape]].
