- Description
- Maria Svatina hand woven tie from the travel wardrobe trunk used by Cab Calloway. The tie is entirely constructed from woven wool. It is primarily red with blue lines of varying widths running lengthwise down the tie. The ends of the tie terminate with loose woven threads that create a short fringe. The tie is hemmed down the center back. Sewn to the back of the tie is a black, rectangular, fabric label with gold embroidered text that reads [HANDWOVEN - TISSÉ À LA MAIN / Maria Svatina / CANADA].
