- Description
- A Bert Pulitzer tie from the travel wardrobe trunk used by Cab Calloway. The tie is primarily patterned silk with a plum cotton lining. The silk is printed with a red, tan, white, and blue paisley pattern set against a black background. The back of the tie has a hem that runs down the full length. Near the wide end of the tie, stitched to the center, is a white, rectangular, fabric tag with the Bert Pulitzer logo embroidered at the center: a maroon oval frame with the name [BERT PULITZER] in white at the bottom center of the oval frame with a black, stylized letter [P] at the white center of the oval. The maroon oval frame has two thin, black rings around it and there is an [®] symbol just below, to the right. Vertical, black embroidered text on the far left reads [ALL SILK] and [MADE IN U.S.A.] on the far right. Attached to the fabric tag is a plastic price tag fastener.
