- Description
- A Lifetime Achievement Grammy received by Cab Calloway. The award is a molded, bronze colored metal gramophone mounted on a square frustum-shaped, glossy black base. On the base of the front of the trophy is a gold outlined black plaque with gold text that reads [NATIONAL ACADEMY OF RECORDING ARTS & SCIENCES LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD - 2008 / CAB CALLOWAY]. The underside of the base is covered in black felt. A rectangular portion of the felt has been cut to reveal a gold tone, metal label on the underside of the frustrum with stamped text that reads [UNPUBLISHED WORK ©1991 / THE RECORDING ACADEMY / #50-07 / BILLINGSARTWORKS.COM]. There is also a white adhesive label attached to one edge of the underside of the award with the copyright information printed in black.
