Description
A hardcover first edition of My American Journey, written by General Colin L. Powell. The book features a glossy white paper jacket over its white hardcover. The fabric blue spine displays the book title, authors, and the Random House publisher name with logo, printed vertically in gold text. On the front cover in gold ink is the book’s title, underlined, with a star below it. There are no markings on the back cover. The jacket front features a color portrait of General Powell wearing eyeglasses and his four-star General Army Green Service uniform. The title is printed in large black-and-white text inside of a red-white-and-blue three-block across the bottom of General Powell’s photograph, and followed by large black text, “COLIN / POWELL / with Joseph E. Persico”. The spine of the jacket has the title, author, and the Random House publisher’s logo. The back of the jacket features a sepia-toned studio portrait of General Powell as a young boy. Throughout the book are supplemental black-and-white photographs, and the last page is numbered at 643.
