This is the case for the two-volume Taiwanese edition of General Colin L. Powell's autobiography, published in the United States as My American Journey. This autobiography covers General Powell's life and military career. The book begins with his birth in Harlem and covers his 35 years of Army service including the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and his time serving as the first African American Joint Chief of Staff.
Description
A dark green box-case for the Taiwanese two-set edition of My American Journey (Wo dì meiguó zhi lu) written by General Colin L. Powell. This case for the book set in constructed of a dark green glossy paper covering over dark green cardboard and features text in bronze, yellow, and light green colors. On the front is the circuitous crop of a color painting of General Powell below which in bright orange and green text is “My American Journey / Colin L. Powell with Joseph E. Persico” and Taiwanese characters. The spine mimics the front of the case with the Taiwanese title in bronze, light green, red, and yellow characters superimposed over a low opacity printed of “My American Journey”. On the back of the case is a short summary of the book and Powell's achievements.
