Description
A signed, hardcover first edition of More Davids Than Goliaths: A Political Education, written by Harold Ford, Jr. with a personal inscription to General Colin L. Powell. The book features a glossy color paper jacket over its blue hardcover. The dark blue spine displays the book title, author, and publisher name with logo, printed horizontally in gold text. There are no markings on the front and back covers. The jacket front is a large photograph of Harold Ford Jr., from the neck up, squinting in the sun, with a clouded blue sky in his background. In large black text, the front jacket reads: [MORE DAVIDS / THAN / GOLIATHS / A POLITICAL EDUCATION / HAROLD FORD, JR.]. The spine of the jacket features the same text and (cropped) photograph as the cover. The last page of the book is numbered at 244. On the interior title page of the book, inscribed and signed on the bottom half, is a note from Ford to General Colin L. Powell, “General, / For your steadfast / commitment to our / nation’s kids and making / their futures worthwhile / and productive – and / to one of my / heroes!”. On the reverse of the jacket are three collaged photographs featuring Ford and his father, Ford Sr., and a quote from the book, “Remember two things / as you go through this campaign: [There are more Davids than Goliaths / and more answers than questions.].
