This book belonged to General Colin Powell and is signed by the author. This is the Chinese edition of the book, originally published in the United States as What it Takes: Lessons in the Pursuit of Excellence. Stephen Schwarzman is the chairman and CEO of the Blackstone Group, a global private equity firm. An American billionaire, Schwarzman is also active in politics
and philanthropy. In 2013 he established Schwarzman Scholars, a scholarship program at Tsinghua University in Beijing modeled after the Rhodes Scholarship program. In 2017 he served as chairman of the Strategic and Policy Forum under President Trump.
Description
A red hardcover, Chinese-language edition of What It Takes: Lessons in the Pursuit of Excellence, written by Stephen A. Schwarzman and owned by General Colin L. Powell. The book is covered by red cloth and features embossed Chinese characters in gold on its front and spine. A white paper half-sleeve with black Chinese text is wrapped around the front and back covers, folding into the interior, with a QR code printed at the bottom of the interior fold of the front part of the jacket. On the first front blank page is a square red-and-gold paper label on which is printed Chinese characters in gold text. In the middle white section of label is the author’s signature. Glossy color and monochromatic photographs are featured throughout the book. The last numbered page is 427 and there are no markings on the reverse of the back cover.
