- Description
- This is a black and white photograph of Etta Moten Barnett. In the image, Etta Moten Barnett is dramatically lit against a plain background so that the outline of her shadow appears directly next to her. As she is dressed in a high-necked black top, the right side of her torso blends into her shadow. The outline of part of her right arm can be seen, next to the shadow of her right arm. Her head is turned to her right shoulder, creating a profile of her face in shadow. In addition to her black top, she wears an ornate brooch at the base of her throat and a small brimless black hat. She appears to be holding a fur on her lap over her left arm. In the bottom right corner is white text that reads “Bloom / Chicago.” The back is blank.
