- Description
- This is a silver mesh evening bag belonging to Etta Moten Barnett. The bag is a rectangular clutch with a hinged opening. The flap closes with a metal snap closure. The clasp is adorned with a large medallion shape. The medallion is circular shaped with a flaring bottom. It is covered with clear crystals in various sizes. The exterior of the bag is covered in tiny silver metal discs. The interior of the bag is lined in beige fabric. There is a white tag sewn onto the interior seam of the bag. The tag has blue text that reads “MESH / WHITING & DAVIS CO [illegible] / BAGS” inside a blue outline. Under the outlined block of text is additional text that reads “ Trade Made [illegible] / MADE IN U.S.A. [illegible].”
