Student Group Timed Passes

The National Museum of African American History and Culture welcomes all school-age learners. 

We invite you to request timed entry passes for a self-guided visit, which allows you to lead your own students through the Museum. Please note that appointments are required for all school groups visiting the Museum.

Timed entry pass request can be made no less than 5 weeks in advance of the requested visit date.  A separate form must be submitted for each visit, and we will do our best to accommodate your request(s). However, due to high volume, your visit is not confirmed until you have received confirmation by email from ETIX, our timed entry pass provider.

School Group Reservation Process

Groups of 10 or more must use the form below to obtained timed passes to visit the museum. After submitting the form, we will check your request against available timed passes and complete your reservation. We will contact your group contact within 20 business days of the request to confirm the reservation or provide instructions if none of your requested times are available.

The Museum recommends school groups have 1 adult per 10 students.

Obtaining Group Timed Passes for K-12 School Groups

  1. Complete the form below making sure to answer all required fields 
  2. Indicate your three preferred dates and times to visit the museum
  3. Press submit to finish.  You should receive an email confirming your submission only.
  4. ETIX will contact you within 20 business days of your submission.

Due to the volume of requests received please do not contact ETIX or NMAAHC about your request unless it's beyond the stated response timeframe.
