liable to annulment by the Provost Marshall of the Freedmen and it is agreed on the part of the party of the [[strikethrough]] part [[/strikethrough]] second part that she will well and faithfully perform such labor as James L Patton may require of her for the terms aforesaid and in every respec be dutiful an a faithful servant and in case she shall voluntarily absent herself from or shall neglect or refuse to perform the labour herein promised and the fact shall be proven to the satisfaction of the proper officer the party so offending shall be punished in such manner as the manager of freedmen shall see proper.
In testimony where of the said parties have offired their names to this agreement at the residence of Jas L Patton on the day and date afforesaid
