Highlights from the Event

Join us for a docent-led talk and get a fresh look into a featured object that is on view in one of our permanent exhibitions.  At each of these 15-minute talks visitors will hear incredibly big stories about a big object and experience the infinite possibilities of Afrofuturism.

About this Program:  Harriet Tubman has been known by many names—Araminta, Moses, conductor, daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt. Her legacy of care, activism and bravery has influenced Black women across time.  Visitors will learn about the life of Harriet Tubman by exploring artwork created by Alison Saar and Bisa Butler.
